Molly Reid, Business Development Executive, is recognized by the Mid Michigan Banking Group
When we gain a better understanding of the inner workings of different industries it allows us to better serve our customers. No one knows this better than Molly Reid, Business Development Executive. Over the course of her 10+ years with IT Resource, Molly has worked with a variety of customers, but she found a niche in banking and finance and has worked diligently to get to know the industry ever since.
For the past seven years Molly has been a member of the Mid Michigan Banking Group (MMBG). Throughout her time with the organization she’s met countless members of the banking community, many of which have turned into great friends and customers. After Molly initially joined the group, it didn’t take long for her to realize that this was the type of organization where she could get involved and make a difference.
Molly began volunteering her time with the group and quickly worked her way into a director’s position, which she held for a year before being elected to go through the board chair positions. The process of representing each of the board positions was a five year commitment, with one year spent on each position, including Director of Marketing, Director of Technology, Director of Membership, Director of Finance, and President. This fall Molly completed her year as President and was recognized by the MMBG for her outstanding achievements with the group.
Despite having gone through each leadership role, Molly still has big plans for her involvement with the group.
“I will continue to be a director and assist the current board in any manner that I can. Collectively we’ve been trying to recruit additional members from the central and east side of the state so I’ll assist with that,” explains Molly. “I’m also passionate about seeing our scholarship efforts flourish. In addition to the MBA Perry School of Banking scholarship, we’re also beginning to offer one through the CBM for the Barret School of Banking.”
While Molly has customers throughout many different sectors, she’s built a successful relationship with many in the financial industry, and she credits that in part to all that she’s learned about the industry from the MMBG.
“Being a part of any organization that benefits bankers, benefits my banking customers. The MMBG assists with continuing education for bankers and keeps the lines of communication open between members,” explains Molly. “Through the organizations and friendships I’ve gained over the years, I’ve learned so much valuable information that has helped me in my business, which in turn helps my customers. I look forward to continuing my advocacy of this group and the benefits it gives to the banking community.”
Please join us in congratulating Molly on her accomplishments with the Mid Michigan Banking Group and within the banking industry as a whole. She’s a wonderful asset to our team and we’re so grateful for all the work and dedication she’s put in.
