This is undoubtedly an exciting time to be in the fields of manufacturing and technology. The Deloitte study, Exponential technologies in manufacturing, showcases the many ways that the manufacturing industry is changing and the digital and physical worlds are meeting. Complex hardware combined with innovative software and data is producing products that are smarter and processes that are more efficient all while being able to connect customers, suppliers and manufacturers on a closer level.
These changes are going to affect us all and we’re excited to be on the forefront. In an effort to partner with those close to home, we’ve become an associate member of the Michigan Manufacturers Association. The MMA is Michigan’s largest manufacturing trade association – they help develop connections, support industries, and make a positive impact on our state’s economy. We look forward to contributing to this industry in the years to come.
Director of Sales Jenn Buchin, and Senior Partner Gary Lutz attended the 2018 MMA Excellence Awards, where Michigan manufacturers were recognized for the positive impacts they have made in their communities. See all the 2018 award winners here.
Michigan Manufacturers Association
The Michigan Manufacturers Association was established in 1902, and as of today represents over 2,000-member companies of all shapes and sizes. MMA’s Board of Directors are all elected industry leaders to help enhance manufacturing’s growth and long-term competitiveness. Manufacturing directly employs more than 608,000 individuals in the state of Michigan alone and accounts for 19% of the state GDP (sixth highest in the nation). The manufacturing industry is expected to see an even bigger increase in success – over the next decade it is predicted that there will be 3 ½ million new manufacturing jobs to fill. There is great potential in the opportunities the MMA is providing and we’re truly excited to be under their umbrella.
