Microsoft Windows 7 Brings New Search Capabilities

Look no further...Windows 7 has you covered. The new Start menu search feature brings along a powerful new search and run feature, somewhat like the old ‘RUN’ box, but on steroids. Simply type whatever you are looking for in the Windows Search box and it will quickly go through your entire system finding items matching your criteria, including documents, applications, music & videos. It even searches your Outlook contents, finding e-mails, contacts, tasks and calendar items that match your search. If you enter a specific command or application name, such as ‘Outlook’ or ‘Control Panel’ it will simply run that application or open the window. It’s easy to configure, right-click on each of the hard drives in your system and check the box that states ‘Allow files on this drive to have contents indexed in addition to file properties’.
