Cars, Guitars, and Technology

Monday, August 10, 2015
The Del Shannon Car Show streamlined the registration process this year by utilizing wireless internet capabilities and offering hot spots where participants could use iPads to quickly and effortlessly register their cars, even on the day of the event.
Del Shannon Car Show volunteer, Dennis Raap, Jr. uses the IT Resource wireless setup to register cars on the day of the show.

To assist the nearly 800 drivers who show up for Michigan’s longest linear car show, we donated services and equipment including wireless internet capabilities, 4G wireless from Verizon to create hot spots, Cisco Meraki wireless cloud networking equipment, and the Apple iPad hub to enable secure connections.

IT Resource technical team member Greg Lundeberg works behind the scenes at the Del Shannon tech hub with volunteer members Dee Dee Fuller and Dennis Raap.

We’ve been long-time sponsors of the Del Shannon Car Show because we love supporting our local community. While we serve customers throughout the Midwest, our business is based in Coopersville. We love being a part of the car show each year because they do an excellent job bringing our entire community together; and raise much needed funds for the NEO Forum youth program.

Congratulations to the winner of the IT Resource trophy at the 2015 Del Shannon Car Show

The 18 hole outing on Friday August 7th will be held at Traverse City’s beautiful LochenHeath Golf Club with a post reception dinner and party with live music and prizes.

Now Offering 24/7 Emergency Tech Support

Monday, June 15, 2015
We understand that IT problems don’t always happen during normal business hours and that's why we offer the option of around-the-clock support to our customers. Our 24/7 emergency support service gives businesses peace of mind, knowing that no matter what day or time it is, they can receive support with guaranteed response times and reduced after-hours rates.

Many of our customers already know that after-hours support is something we have always made great efforts to do, but this service gives us and the customer clearly defined guidelines to follow, should an emergency occur. It holds us accountable and the customer knows exactly what to expect.

The 24/7 emergency support agreement is available for $300 per month and entitles the customer to a 2 hour Service-Level-Agreement (SLA), at $185 per hour with a minimum 1 hour commitment. The support line is staffed entirely by IT Resource employees living in Michigan, the same folks that you’re already familiar working with. The only prerequisite to signing up for this service is that you must have a Remote Monitoring and Reporting (RMR) Agreement. This is required so that we can troubleshoot in a timely manner and avoid any delays.

The emergency support service agreement does not apply to, nor is it required, for scheduled after hours time & materials and project service work.

Please let us know if you have any questions and check out our 24/7 emergency support data sheet here. We are excited to offer this additional level of support and guaranteed service. If you are interested in this service contact us or call 616.837.6930.

Young Minds + Engineering Technology = Great Things

Friday, May 08, 2015
When you pair young students with engineering technology, something great is bound to happen. That's why we're so excited to sponsor the Coopersville High School 2015 Electrathon Race at Berlin Raceway! The juniors and seniors had two cars in the open class race, car 222 and 999. These races are made up of electric cars built entirely by the students. Throughout the school year, the engineering students get hands on experience and dedicate many hours to assemble, test, and modify their cars.

Eric Lutz, a junior at Coopersville, and son of IT Resource’s Co-owner Gary Lutz, is captain of telemetry on the engineering team for both cars. Eric is responsible for the overall monitoring of the car batteries, electronics and other components, and wirelessly transmitting that information to the remote team. The team can then analyze this data and figure out ways to modify their car and ultimately increase speed.

We are exceptionally proud to join other Coopersville businesses, including one of our customers, Northern Physical Therapy, in supporting not only our local school but the engineering students as well. The technology efforts that these high school students are receiving can be an integral part of their future success in the engineering field. Go Broncos!

Information Technology for the Banking Industry in Michigan

Wednesday, March 11, 2015
IT Resource has built a niche in providing IT consulting services and support to the banking industry. As a service provider for many banks in Grand Rapids, Lansing, Traverse City, and much of the lower peninsula, we make a conscious effort to stay active and relevant in the banking community. We’re a proud member of many banking associations and groups across Michigan including the Community Bankers of Michigan (CBM), Michigan Bankers Association (MBA) and the Mid-Michigan Bankers Group.

While we strive to make the most of our memberships we’re excited to announce we'll be exhibiting and speaking at the upcoming MBA Bankers Education Summit and Trade Show (BEST) Conference. The conference will be held at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, March 31 through April 2. If you'll be in the Traverse City area you’re not going to want to miss this show – it will be a great way to gain knowledge on the relevant issues in the banking world - register to attend here. We’d love for you to visit our booth and learn more about our services! On Wednesday from 11:00am – noon our very own industry expert Gary Lutz will be presenting an education break-out session for attendees. 24/7 Emergency Technology Support Now Available

Monday, December 08, 2014
Disasters don't always work the 9-5 shift and you can't see them coming. If you receive a call that your building has encountered a disaster after hours, if you're up late preparing for a big presentation the next morning only to find that you're printer won't work, or you discover a network failure over the weekend, we're here to help.

We're excited to share that beginning January 1, 2015 we will offer and staff 24/7 Emergency Support Services. Based on a recent customer survey, responses indicated that this was a service you would like to see made available, so we are happy to oblige.

Taking care of our customers after hours is something we have always made great efforts to do, but this new service gives both you, and our engineers guidelines as to what you can expect, should an emergency arrive. For a monthly investment of $300, the ITR 24/7 Emergency Support Service will have a 2 hour Service-Level-Agreement (SLA), at $185 per hour with a minimum 1 hour commitment. Should customers choose not to invest in a monthly ITR 24/7 Emergency Support Service Agreement, we will still provide Emergency Support. However, customers can expect Best Effort Response with no SLA, at $280 per hour with a minimum 2 hour commitment.

As our customers’ businesses have grown, the demand for Information Technology up-time and availability is becoming even more critical. We are now proactively staffing with the same engineers you are comfortable working with on a day-to-day basis and guaranteeing response times in the event you have a need for Emergency Support. The ITR 24/7 Emergency Support Service Agreement does not apply to, nor is it required, for scheduled After Hours Time & Materials and Project service work.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We are excited to offer this additional level of support and guaranteed service. If you are interested in this investment, contact us today via email or at 616.837.6930.
